At the moment, Margot Blaise only wants two things: 1. To excel at her new job at Eclectic Magazine, one of the largest fashion magazines in the world and 2. To stay far, far away from the life she left behind when she moved to France three years ago.

Luckily for Margot, she always gets what she wants. Unfortunately for Margot, it seems that getting what you want comes with a price and for Margot, the cost is working under Beckham Sterling, who is not only the newly appointed CEO of Eclectic Magazine but also her brother's best friend. The same brother Margot coincidentally stopped speaking to around the same time she packed her bags.

The situation-which Margot refuses to allow to get in the way of her career-escalates when, as the new face of Eclectic's social media, Eclectic's engagement skyrockets back up to winning numbers not because of Margot's stellar marketing skills, but because the world begins to ship her with none other than Beckham himself. Even worse, now the pair have to ride the shipping wave by keeping up appearances and pretending to be a couple.

Margot finds herself at a crossroads between what she's running from and working toward. It's hard to run from your past when it's not only three steps ahead of you, but also starting to look devastatingly handsome.
