There are many ways to live, and Joan Halen has chosen the easiest: forget about the past, don't think about the future, and trust no one. Music being the only thing she cares about, her life revolves around the moments she gets to play the drums, or her guitar. She's been in bands before, but never made it big. Her world gets thrown out of perspective when Jose Becker, the bassist of her new band, seems determined to break down the walls she's spent years building. With the help of another lost soul, she may find home, friendship, trust, and maybe even love.

Brittany and Krist have been neighbours since he moved to Aberdeen. She's also friend's with Krist bandmate Kurt. After Brittany's parents passed away, Krist and Kurt became her family and are overly protective of her. The boys have a band called Nirvana and they just got a new drummer, Dave Grohl. On the night Brittany and Dave meet, Kurt meets Courtney. The two girls quickly become friends as Dave and Brittany start getting involved. Krist and Kurt both tell Dave Brittany's not worth his time. Krist doesn't like when Brittany tells him she likes Dave as much as he likes her and tries to keep them apart as much as he can.Complete

Besides that, all he can go by is what the media has said about her father. As he gets to know her, Bruno slowly unravels the pain she's been hiding from the media and even people she's close to. But That all changes when shes taking her little sister to church and meets the youth groups lead guitarist.
