"I'm a mess," he whispered wobbly, his hands still tangled in my dark locks as he cradled his head into my clavicle, tears streaming down his flushed cheeks, in the process, staining my shirt.

But I didn't care, not when I'm with him. And when he's with me. Nothing matters anymore.

"Then let's be messes together," I muttered against his head, my lips being tickled by his midnight hair.

He pulled back from my embrace.

I stared into his riveting, brown orbs that flooded with tears, his eyebrows puckered softly.

The moonlight struck his tear-stricken face, exposing the specks of silver and amber swimming in his enthralling eyes, the twilight beams creating iridescent sparkles from his waterworks.

Even when he was crestfallen, he looked annoyingly otherworldly.

"Areum," he whispered, his voice smooth like velvet as my name rolled off his tongue so silkily. Like it was designed just for him to say.

Suddenly, I was inching closer to him. He was inching closer to me.

And in the blink of an eye, it all came crashing down.

His supple, gentle lips on mine. Our blazing lips moulding into one; the fervor and tacit emotions coursing into a vehement yet tender kiss.
