Dan was always a shy boy, they always said he'd grow up to be an outcast, some said that he would never get past 18. His only skill was being able to lie through his teeth and sit sorrowed against a wall arguing with his brain. He never had the best life, everyone knew that but no one knew what happened... nobody saw the horrors or heard what went on behind doors. He was just the weird kid to them all, the failure of the class, 'most likely to end up in a psych ward' to be more specific. But Dan knew the truth... he knew where he'd be. He knew from the moment he stood on that edge looking down at the beautiful blue below him, they were wrong to say he'd grow up... or at least he hoped they were.

Phil was always that kind boy, the one dads trust their girls to date and just one of those you could get along with easily, his classmates adored him. People said that he was going to be the future, change the world, specifically 'England's future president' however no one knew him as a person... no one saw the 'true Phil' only his persona and grades. No one saw the Polaroid or that room no one but him and the victims. And he intended to keep it like that, until a pretty young boy was seen in need of desperate help. And what kind of 'future president' would he be if he didn't take the vulnerable boy in?

And soon, his depression may end up falling to deep. He gets hateful and rude comments on his videos that he posts to YouTube. He even gets hate on Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr. What did he ever do to them? What did he do to deserve any of this?? His flatmate Dan doesn't know about Phil's depression, however. All he knows (thinks, rather) is that his best friend is staying strong through all of the hateful things he gets from people. But in reality, that's not what Phil is doing at all. He's not staying strong through the hate. He's just faking the smile for Dan so he wouldn't get so worried about him. Sure, Dan might be able to crack some real smiles out of him once in a while, but not every time. He also wears long sleeves and thick bracelets to hide the scars of his pain. He acts like his normal quirky, adorable, funny, weird self when making YouTube videos, when around his friends and family, when having a meet-up with fans (or just being around them in general), when out in public, etc. Phil hadn't told anyone at all about his depression. And he probably wouldn't anytime soon, either. His fans didn't know, his friends didn't know, his family didn't know, Dan didn't know... nobody knew. hello this is @englishmoron [former username] 24.10.17 Hello Reader! this is my book. As you can see it is currently discontinued and I've officially decided to no longer carry it on. I have many reasons for this but the biggest one is that I've grown out of my d&p phase (I still love and support them both) and mostly cringe whenever I get reminded of this book. My grammar and punctuation was awful and I have now entered the part of my life when I'm being swallowed alive by school work. I am keeping this book up however for two reasons: 1. I'm attached to wattpad. Although I never use my account and high key wanna delete it, I've had a lot of fun and sad memories on this website and this book was a big part of that. 2. This somehow has 150k reads and 3k votes. By the way, thank you all for the reads and votes! I'm so grateful to see my younger selfs work paid off! I don't read lots of your comments (although sometimes the positive ones make me grin, thank you all for your kindness btw c:) because I'm well aware of my many errors and I get utterly embarrassed at others having to correct my old mistakes aha.
