It's been four months since the shocking death of one of the most loved people in the Quarter, Adriana Mikaelson, and everyone is feeling the absence of her presence. Overwhelming grief, loss, and heartbreak fill the hearts of those who loved her. 
After more than a thousand years, the Mikaelsons have finally been bested by a cold, calculating enemy that seemed almost invincible. This lead to the ultimate sacrifice - the death of Adriana Eve Mikaelson.
Now the Mikaelsons are done cowering, and it's time for revenge. They kill in vengeance, spilling blood for those they have lost, all while battling their inner demons. However, the Mikaelson's find themselves breaking apart in a harsh world in which the glue that holds them together is now gone.
