Princess Anna of Arendelle, youngest daughter of Queen Iduna and King Agnarr arriving in Berk at age fifteen, leaving her older sister Elsa to rule as Queen in her stead.

Though Berk is far from the snow-covered halls of Arendelle, it's not unfamiliar. Anna spent summers and winters here in her childhood, often in the company of Chief Stoick the Vast and his son, Hiccup Haddock who's her childhood friend.

Now older, Hiccup sees Anna in a new light. Her optimism, bravery, and kindness shine balancing the role of princess with the heart of a true friend. While Anna strives to prove herself to her parents.

Hiccup struggles to find his own place in Berk, a village where dragon slaying is the highest honor, and where he feels like he can never quite measure up.

On the Isle of Berk, dragons are seen as enemies. They raid the village, destroy homes, and are hunted without mercy. The people believe keeping Princess Anna safe is top priority especially when another attack strikes under the cover of night.

But everything changes when Hiccup downs a legendary Night Fury and Anna, instead of killing a dragon, saves one.

As secrets unfold and ancient truths come to light, Anna and Hiccup begin to see that dragons may not be the monsters the Vikings believe them to be and soon, Berk itself may have to choose between holding onto fear... or embracing a future forged in trust, fire, and flight.
