All I could smell was nicotine. The suffocating stench wafting through the train station. It was snaking itself through my lungs like a tracker, searching for its final destination. It reminded me of her in a way. The intoxicating smell, the addictiveness of it all. She was as addictive as nicotine. That's what I loved about her. Everything she did, pulled me in. If only she hadn't taken up the awful habit, if only I had been there. Been there for her, with her.
She was the type of girl to pull you in with a goofy smile, anything simple that everyone turned a blind eye to, really.
It hadn't taken long for it to control her every move, so maybe it would do the same for me if I just let go. If I let it control me. If I let it destroy me. If I let myself waste away. Just like she did.
