Sophie Henderson is good at fixing things.

Radios, cassette players, broken wires, whatever Dustin puts in front of her after taking it apart and realising he can't put it back together.

Hawkins had never given her much she couldn't figure out.

Then Will Byers disappears.

Sophie has always been curious, stubborn and a little too willing to get involved when someone she cares about is in trouble. In Hawkins, that turns out to be a dangerous combination. Because some things are beyond fixing, some people can't be saved, and loving someone doesn't mean you get to keep them.

Sophie learns all of that the hard way. But if there's one thing she never quite learns, it's how to give up on the people she cares about.

And Hawkins gives her plenty of people to care about.

Steve Harrington is one of them.

But this isn't the story of Sophie Henderson falling in love with Steve Harrington.
