but we're friends now

here's a daffodil

to prove it.

I never

invited you

to a party

I never

took the seat

beside you

as you sat

alone

in a crowded room

I never

was there

at 3:00 A.M.

when you needed someone

anyone

to cry to

and chat

but

there's a line behind me.

white van

blue tarp covering your face-

not that it would do me any good
