When 17-year-old, Autumn Linwood, travels back from her father's safe haven in urban New York, she journeys to her old home who is inhabited by her abusive mother, her shiftless older step-brother, and her somewhat normal step-father. High-school is better than her dangerous home, but she only likes her studies because of the humongous library and supportive friends. But something more dangerous lies for Autumn; uncatchable thieveries, reckless school dropouts, and mysterious newcomers. FInding that she is in the mist of trouble, Autumn depends on three things to get her through her fall break. A headstrong and determined mind. A peaceful calming area. And a pack of courageous fictional heroes.
