Bonita "Bonnie" Byers is a young woman with a big secret. The year is 1984 in Hawkins, Indiana. Taken in by Joyce Byers after a successful escape at Hawkins lab 10 years prior with the help of Dr. Owens, Bonnie had lived her life sheltered- and blocked out most of what she endured during her time in the lab. For the most part, Bonnie had kept her abilities under control, eventually causing them to fade over time. That all changes when she suddenly starts having visions of the Upside Down again, and starts to fall for high school basketball player and heartthrob, Steve Harrington. With the help of her best friends, Eddie Munson and Robin Buckley, she is able to combat the creatures of both this world and the upside down.
