Arwen liked to think that stuff happens for a reason. People enter your life, they serve their purpose, and they leave. It was the universe's way of helping people grow. It's what she believes anyway. She just hated how sudden and unexpected it seemed. She never expected her best friend Chrissy to leave her high and dry once they started high school. She didn't expect her father to leave her mother and her for a woman half his age. She didn't expect Jonathan Byers to be able to replace Chrissy's place in her life or for his family to become one to her. Least of all, she didn't expect to be thrown into a new world so late in her life; one filled with monsters and parallel dimensions and girls with superpowers.

However, all these things happen for a reason, she fought every day to believe that still. Without all these life-altering events, however big or minute, she wouldn't have crash-landed where she is right now, formed into the person that the universe wants her to be. The freak who loved art and music a little too much, who hung out with other geeks and freaks for fun. Who somehow managed to forge a close bond with Nancy "The Princess" Wheeler and Steve "The Hair" Harrington, despite her outsider status.
