When Ethan Owens decides to make a play for Addison the captain of the Georgia Bulldogs football cheer captain he doesn't have the most genuine of motives. To date her would really put his rival and current opening quarterback on the back foot since she was his ex and Ethan wanted both the opening roll and the girl. But by starting a dangerous game of love in their 3rd year of collage he would soon realise that Addison is so much more than he'd realised and that if he thought things would go to plan he was mistaken because with risk at every turn he really was going to have to play the long game or risk loosing everything, and Ethan Owens didn't like to loose.

Evie is an introvert who just wants to focus on her studies and keep her life simple. Alex is the outgoing, charming soccer star everyone loves, especially his teammates and classmates. When they get paired together for a year-long project in their major, sparks fly, but mostly the annoying kind. At first, they can barely stand each other. Evie resents Alex's easy confidence and endless energy, while Alex struggles to understand Evie's quiet world. But as deadlines loom and late nights in the library pile up, they start to see the person beneath the surface. Slowly, coffee runs, shared laughs, and late-night study sessions turn into something neither expected. Yet, between soccer games, work shifts, and busy schedules, they're forced to find a fragile balance, and maybe, just maybe, a chance for more than just a project partnership. Can two people so different learn to trust each other and discover what it really means to be a team?
