Luke has a problem with seeing. Sometimes he can't tell reality from imagination. His visions crowd his brain and his mother has given up. Then Luke meets Michael and the visions dim in his presence. But Michael doesn't want anything to do with Luke.
Calum was in love with Michael and when they kissed, he thought things would be alright but Michael dumped him. Now Calum isolates himself because he's just better off alone. Ashton hates being alone.
When these four start a ragtag punk rock band, they start to realize that maybe they all need to face the music.

"I'm Calum," he continued, his lower lip trembling, as he bit on it and walked over to where Ash was, interlinking their fingers together. "Michael," he whimpered, not being able to speak more than a word at a time. His eyes watered but he tried so hard to blink back his tears and joined Cal, holding his hand. "And I'm Luke," I mimicked Mikey and walked over to where all three of them stood, and without my consent, I let the tears fall. I clutched on to Mikey's hand for dear life as if he would disappear any second. "And we were 5 Seconds of Summer," we spoke up and bowed in unison, our last concert coming to a final end. Although, on the inside, I couldn't help but think this isn't the way it's supposed to be. + + + + + But what happens next is unexpected. On the way home, Luke gets in a car accident and the flames swallow him and his screams as a whole. What is left behind are his mere ashes.
