This is a book about a girl named"Chelsie," who has been abused by her parents ever since she was 9 years old, since her brother was beaten to death by her step dad, she is now 16. She thinks nobody cares and loves her only her sister Emily. But that is going to change. When a boy named" Matt Espinosa," moves to town. He develops strong feelings for Chelsie, and he helps her and cares for her. She tries to push him away and tries to not let him find out about her parents beating her. Will Matt help Chelsie and will her hole in her heart be replaced with love?
