Charlie likes to pretend everything is fine, happy, perfect, but now that his struggles are revealed to Nick, it's going to just get harder and harder to hide how he's feeling. He doesn't want to worry Nick, so it might be best to keep it to himself. Nick is absolutely terrified. There's no other way to put it. He's so scared of losing Charlie and the thought of that kills him. He knows he can't tread on eggshells around Charlie, but also knows he needs to handle Charlie's mental health delicately, as to not upset him.
