Vampire love

Katherine Gilbert didn't know why she was running or what she was running from. She could hear footsteps behind her closing in quickly. All Katherine knew was that she had triggered something in her book and now that something or someone was chasing her, and they seemed really fast. She remembered back to her book she had read a thousand times thinking to herself that it must be the vampire. Katherine tripped on something underfoot landing really hard on her hands, she tried to get up but a pair of hands on her back prevented her from doing so, shoving her back down. She looked up and saw a figure standing over her.
"Hello," the voice said.
