Many children who were born after 2034 were tampered with in the hospital. Given... abilities. At first people thought they were monsters, some still do. But after the main guys were caught for the tampers, society grew more fond over what breed of human that was classified as a Hexal.

Juniper Quinton was born into the Mafia. Her mother has never been in the e picture, so she grew up as the dark princess. She was one of the tampered. A hexal, as it's called. Her power? The ability to control ash. She never disappointed her father, especially after her hex became known.

Beckett Marrow works for the government. He was sent to get inside the Quinton organization and bring it down from the inside. He, too was a tampered. He could turn light, even turning it to make himself appear invisible.

What will happen when the two meet? Will all hell break loose, or will a small seed of good, or bad, be planted in the other's heart?
