CANON DIVERGENT AT THE END OF STRANGER THINGS 4 VOL 2. FOLLOWS CANON UNTIL THE ENDING OF EP 9

Eddie Munson often wishes he could leave Hawkins, Indiana for somewhere better. He certainly isn't exactly what he looks like but something is keeping him from grabbing all his pocket money and booking it out of there for somewhere much more accepting of his identity. That something is Steve Harrington. Steve Harrington, who has avoided Eddie as if he had some sort of plague. Steve Harrington, the guy that Eddie is secretly madly in love with.

Steve Harrington isn't exactly what everyone thinks he is and Robin is the only one to know. Somehow, his parents don't and its better that way. Steve has been avoiding Eddie for months after the Upside-Down, but not for the reasons anyone thinks. Steve is avoiding Eddie because he doesn't trust himself not to screw up their relationship.

After a graduation party full of drunk and semi drunk people, both find out they share a lot more in common than they previously thought.

Steve's always been the jealous one according to the group, according to literally everyone. Even the kid who supposedly praises him. Everyone tells him that he's jealous of Dustin finding another older friend to have by his side. But no one knows why and that it's not all jealousy. He dropped what he was doing and turned around making cold eye contact with her. "Robin. I'm being serious. Drop it." The girl tensed up and worry gathered on her face for a short second. "Okay, okay. If it's that bad then I won't bother you about it again. I'm sorry okay?" She raised her hands up in a surrender and went back to the vhs's on the counter next to her. Steve took a long breath and rubbed his hands over his face. The bell on the door rand, but Steve ignored it. He was already stressed out enough as it was. "Steve!" He could hear two pairs of footsteps walking up the counter, one being the short curly haired boy he'd taken on as one of his best friends years ago. "Hey Henders-" Steve lost all track of thought in a matter of seconds, his breath was stuck in his throat along with any words he could've possibly thought might help in the situation. His face burned red and his hands started to shake. There was a familiar , now taller, curly haired boy standing behind Dustin. A way to familiar, curly haired boy. "Hey, Steve." #1 in: steve x eddie #1 in: the hair #1 in: steve harrington x eddie munson #1 in: steddie #1 in: harrington #1 in: the freak #1 in: stranger things au While I do own the story line and plot, I do not own the characters or the names that were created by the Duffer Brothers!🤍

We're set in the 80's so clearly the internet isn't really a thing yet and Eddie Munson can't figure out why his mind sometimes goes blank and he feels young. He thinks it's wrong and just another way of god to punish him for being who he is. But then, a guy he barely knew apart from occasional bullying takes him in, and Eddie finally figures out what being loved feels like. // or, this writer craves little eddie content and steddie is his OTP so here we have little!eddie and cg!steve this contains age regression, which is an sfw coping mechanism. if you don't want to read about it, don't leave hate, just leave the book and me be. warnings!! - traumatic events (like, it's still stranger things) - period typical homophobia - use of curse words, mature themes (drvgs, mvrder, childhood abvse, etc) mostly off plot fluff, but events from season 4 still happen
