Mature
A girl with a forgotten past tries to find her place in a galaxy far, far away.

The gods smile down at them. Even if the Mandalorians and Jedi were enemies through most of their history, groups consisting of Mandalorians and Jedi are far more common than you would think. The gods know that they will take care of each other, that they will form a strong bond in this cruel galaxy that seems to destroy everything good.

Din Djarin must defend the child against dark Force wielders who would gladly take the little one off his hands. He will have to decide whether to trust some new allies, for the safety of the child. Note: This was written before season 2 of The Mandalorian came out. I wanted to throw together some characters from different Star Wars series and see how they'd interact. Turns out, a couple of them did end up meeting. In this story, they get to go on a whole adventure. They learn some things about each other and about themselves along the way, which is often painful, but could create bonds of trust if that's what they choose. Getting into these characters' heads and exploring the Force and the galaxy far far away have been an amazing ride. I finished this story on May the 4th, 2020. Then later, my friends urged me to polish it up and put it out there. So here it is for anyone who would enjoy it! It's not meant to replace anything that's going on in the show (which has been amazing so far, by the way). It's just an exploration and speculation on these characters and their universe. This is a fanfiction. The universe, most of the characters, and most of the locales belong to Star Wars. If you search a character or planet on Wookieepedia and it comes up with nothing, chances are I made them up (because I checked, too, before I gave them names). However, they were sometimes partly inspired by existing characters or planets in Star Wars. My use of the mando'a language was inspired by its use in Karen Traviss's Republic Commando novels (which I highly recommend if you want to learn some things about Mandalorian culture . . . And they're good stories.)

Celene and Din have become partners reluctantly due to a series of unfortunate events. However, they soon both learn they're better off as a pair rather than navigating the bounty hunting world alone. But when they take a job shrouded in mystery, things begin to shift for Din and Celene. The past becomes uncovered and Celene has secrets- ones she is willing to take to her grave. Soon Din realizes he knows truly nothing about his partner and her past could be an endangerment to them all. As war lurks on the horizon and secrets and chaos threaten to consume them both, Celene and Din are faced with decisions they've never before had to make. They have to choose- are they willing to fight for what is right? Or can they stand by and watch while the galaxy once more falls into darkness.
