"oh harry, when are you gonna come to your senses and realize?" hermione asked, rather annoyed.

"what? realize what? what are you on about?" harry replied, though he had a hunch of what hermione was going at.

"you're in love with y/n!" she cooed.

"what? no i'm not! you're barbaric!" harry sputtered, his cheeks glowing red at this point.

"oh come off it harry, i see the way you look at her. you look at her like you would drop everything just for her to notice you. when you look at her, your eyes light up, harry. there's no doubt about it." hermione explained.

harry thought about her words, and so he turned to look at her, and he saw 𝐡𝐞𝐫.

hermione was right, whenever he laid his eyes on her, nothing else in the universe mattered except for her. it was as if she was the light when it was dark. everything around her blurred, and if anything her presence became more clear.

he admired the way she talked, the way she laughed melodically at a joke that ginny was telling her, the way her head tilted back slightly, her hair framing her face perfectly. he thought to himself, how could anyone be so beautiful while doing the most simplest task?

and that's when he realized, it's always been her. since first year, he'd always been head over heels for her.
