Harry is not coping well with Sirius' death, constantly tricking himself into thinking he saw the man's ghost when there was nothing there. He follows Ron and Hermione everywhere unless they lead him to the Hospital Wing.

Turning the corner into a fight between some third years Harry gets hit by a combination of a misfired, incompletely cast spell, accidental magic to save himself, and the magic on a letter he received sending him when he was not expecting.

Harry just wished he didn't feel the need to run whenever he met someone important in his life now.
