*** UPDATE 2025: I want to thank my classmates, Batch 2016 from Arellano University - MLS, for reading this story when I first published it back in 2014. I dedicate this to all of you-those who supported me, read every chapter, and encouraged me to keep going. Now, in 2025, I'm republishing and refining each scene-fixing the grammar, correcting the spelling, and polishing the flow to bring it to the level it deserves. The original version was a bit rough around the edges, but it came straight from the heart. Thank you so much for being part of this story's journey. I hope it continues to bring kilig to each and every one of you. © 2025 [Unpluggedvoice]. All rights reserved. Originally written in 2015. This version has been updated and revised in 2025. No part of this story may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without the author's permission. - MJCT 🌫️🌫️🌫️ Terrified. A deep, desperate urge to escape. That's what I feel right now. The situation is under military control. There's a war-between the government and the rebel soldiers opposing its rule. Fear has taken over everyone. Some people chose to flee the city. Some succeeded. Some didn't. Those who failed were killed-mercilessly-by soldiers who defied the government. Others chose to stay inside their homes. But what happened to them? They were slaughtered. The cruel forces raided each house, ambushing families without warning or mercy. Now, we're trapped inside ours. Me, my mom, my dad, and my older sister, Margo. It feels like something out of the Anne Frank story-hiding behind bookshelves, tucked away in a secret attic. Only difference? We're not in an attic. We're hiding in our own home. And there's nowhere left to run.
