"I looked at him. The love of my life, the one I swore to spend my life with, the father I imagined our kids would have... This wasn't him. Not now, not anymore.
God knows how much I want to take him back, to live the life we promised to one another in front of the altar. But, what was at stake? My own life? The lives of our children?
Because I've also sworn to myself to end what my father and grandfather started. I wanted to end what my mother and grandmother endured. "
