Being an only child, Kiana Nicole Castañares finds it hard to do whatever she wants without asking her parents' permission first. She wanted freedom, she always thought. As she grows older, she wants to explore things and get out of her comfort zone without limiting herself.

One time, Vanessa - her friend who is a big fan of bands and music - asked her to audition as a vocalist in one of the bands at their university. Because of wanting to gain new experiences, Kiana auditioned for a band without asking her parents.

For her, joining a band is more of a pastime than a commitment. She just wanted to try something new and meet new faces, but she experienced something she never thought she would; something she knows that she's ready to take every risk, whatever it takes... even by disobeying her parents and breaking her own rules.
