Deal of a Lifetime

As I kneel before the king of death my eyes shut tight, tears slowly trickling down my cheeks. "If I must do it, I'll do it. Only for my friends and immortality." I tell the man standing in front me. The man chuckles at my reply. "You fool. You'll regret the actions you've made. You won't realize what you've done until you feel the sorrow of the fallen ones." A sudden burst of pain shoots from my shoulders, but no cry is yelled out. I clench my hands into fists and I take in the pain, feeling somewhat lighter. As my eyes are still clamped shut, the darkness I only see at that point fades into white and my breathe slowly comes to a halt.
