Alex (short for Alexandra) and her mother and brother have moved to another country because her mother gotta job there. In a world where everyone has a magic power or can turn into something, she has the power to control shadow like her father did, but he died in a war two years ago. Alex is 17 years old and has to go to JMA (Jasu Magic Academy) and meets few kids there, she was first familiar with them and then she realized she has been a big fan of them for a very long time. The first years in the new country were pretty dangerous and this is the story how her first years were.

Safe was something Alex hadn't felt since he was a child, and even then, after the truth all came out, he realized he had never been safe in the first place.
