Ninjago isn't just protected by the beloved ninja force. In the shadows lurk hidden heroes, poised and ready to strike. Aurora is the leader of a group of six vigilantes. While the ninja tend to Ninjago City, they protect the smaller villages that the elemental masters seem to overlook. To the world, Aurora and her unusual band of friends don't exist. And, for their sakes, she'd like to keep it that way. Yet when Aurora falls ill, her usual routine is cut short. She soon learns that there's more to her than meets the eye: and, in order to recover, she'd need to get help from the very group of ninja she's been avoiding for years. Unbeknownst to the young vigilante, meeting the ninja will soon become the least of her worries. For an ancient evil has been waiting thousands of years in the shadows, and Aurora is the final key in their wicked plan to destroy the world. ~~~ !! WARNING !! The following story contains mature themes such as violence, abuse, trauma, language, depictions of suffering, and other dramatic aspects. Ninjago: Amplified 【 Midnight Masquerade 】
Aurora and her team find themselves in a peculiar situation. For months, the vigilantes had been struggling to fight against an uncharacteristically coordinated group of criminals. The mysterious organization targeted numerous villages at the same time, forcing the heroes to stop only a few of the many attacks. Unwilling to let the fight draw on for any longer, Aurora and her friends decide to take a different approach: to hunt down the gang's elusive leader and expose his identity, destroying his gang from the inside. To do so, the vigilantes must attend an event hosted by their foes themselves: a masquerade. Yet tracking down a crime boss is easier said than done. As Aurora and her friends navigate through the party, hidden within crowds of innocent and guilty, they soon learn that gloating isn't the event's only purpose. At the Midnight Masquerade, everyone's hiding their true intentions; and, unbeknownst to the vigilantes, they aren't the only ones hunting for culprits that night. ︶︶︶︶ *note: this short story takes place roughly a year before the events of Ninjago: Amplified (Book 1). ︶︶︶︶ !! A Wish To Show--Cole wants to star in the Christmas show at his school, but learns a valuable lesson instead.. A Wish To Love--Lloyd has only one wish for his first Christmas at Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys--to meet his mother. A Wish To Last--Abbe and Liv are celebrating Christmas in the city, but Abbe's thoughts lie elsewhere. Okay, they're pretty much Christmas story cliches' you'd find on Hallmark, but aren't most Christmas stories/movies the same?
