You're from California and your parents decide to move to Hawkins for "new scenery". Apparently thats what your parents have been telling you. Your dad is a musician, not that known but known enough to be able to pay rent. On the other hand your mom is a fashion designer. The complete opposite of your dad, and that's what made you look up to them so much. Because of your dad, you've learned how to play the electric guitar while you have a punk sense of style due to your mother. You're distant cousins of Dustin Henderson, which isn't really known by people other then your family because of how different you guys look like to each other. Dustin and Claudia (mom) Henderson are the only reason why your parents decided to move to Hawkins because of them basically being the only family closest to you guys. Though you used to live far, far away from the Henderson's, you've been close to them especially Dustin because of how often you guys send letters to each other.
