Ava is in her last year of high school and is starting to see how depressed her mom, Vixen has become. She knows there is only so much she can do because she knows the reason for her mother's depression, the loss of her true soulmate.
Not only does she worry about her mother, but her best friend Valentine and Valentine's mom.
Ava knows what is going on at her best friend's home and tries her best to help out when she can,
but if Valentine's mom Amanda, doesn't leave any time soon, she fears that something bad is going to happen to them both.
Without a second thought in mind, Ava talks her mom into allowing Valentine and Amanda to move in until Amanda can get on her feet and get them a place of their own, and away from her husband Carl.
Throughout the time of them staying at the castle, things start to take a turn, and Ava doesn't know if it's for the good or bad.
