The Breach effected everyone differently, for Ruby it was her first real look at the life of a Huntress and the responsibilities of that title. Plagued by nightmares and the haunting images behind her eyes she seeks out solitude to fight her monsters. Ozpin comes across his student as she wields her weapon with exhaustion in every swing and he can't bare to see those silver eyes so dulled. Their encounter sparks Ozpin's need to help Ruby come to terms with the life she has chosen and who knows maybe the future won't be so bleak for either of them, or for a dusty Qrow.

A Slayer and a Huntress (On Hold)
Ruby Rose is known for a lot of things on Remnant. The sister to Yang Xiao Long, daughter of Taiyang Xiao Long and Summer Rose, niece of Qrow Branwen, future huntress and cinnamon roll. But one thing she's known for is disappearing without a trace at the age of 10. Ruby was suddenly transported into the world of Dauntless on the Shattered Isles in Ramsgate. She's had to survive 7 years taking down Behemoths, doing quests, crafting weapons and armor, creating potions and talismans and taking on bounties. She's crafted every type of weapon and armor there is with the needed Behemoth parts and Rams, every potion and talisman there is, found and beat all 42 Behemoth types and maxed out her weapons to level 60 after reforging her weapons 72 times. To her it's been 7 years but on Remnant it's been 6 years since she went missing. Now she's 17 and back on Remnant after taking down a Behemoth and being transported back. She's matured, tall, buff while still being lean and overpowered. She knows what her silver eyes can do and the magic she has, her hair has gotten longer and is styled in a mullet, her armors are now hoodies and her weapons now have guns. This is the story of a Slayer and a huntress.

But the cost for searching the forest's depth was too great for anyone to dare enter, except the bravest or most foolish adventurers. As the years went by, a town was established on the cusp of the swirling fog, built to warn any travelers of the forest and the danger within it. Sheltering anyone determined enough to enter it or anyone who managed to escape. Then one day, as if hearing the story, King Ozma visited the town and entered the forest despite the town's warnings. But upon his return, he brought no secrets of great power or treasures of vast wealth, but a single command, ordering his royal guard to "Burn it down!" The townspeople fled through swirling fog and ash as their town was burned with the forest. scattered across the land, forbidden to return, but as they marched with tears and betrayal in their heart. The Youngest amongst those taking a piece of the forest with them swore to take revenge on Remnant for what had occurred, promising to one day remove all that they held dear. But was that the truth? Was the tale changed over time? What really happened to the forest and its people? (The Forest never forgets, even if the world does. Old pieces stir in the shadows, much to the king's surprise and the queen's annoyance.
