Octavia Black has been different her whole life, hiding a secret and her families. Now she is in Shadyside, where she has been for the past 2 years and been in love with Simon since she first saw him and same with him. Both of them don't know how the other one feels and here's the kicker, Octavia hasn't said one word to anyone since she has arrived besides a few "Hello's" "And how are you?" Back and forth with Simon. And the glances and smiles at each other.

All of a sudden people are dying, it's the cruse they say. It's what happens in Shadyside at least that's what the Rich kids say aka Sunnysiders. Will Octavia and Simon tell each other how they feel? Will the others find out what Octavia really is? Or will she die? Will the others except her for what she is? Will her and Simon finally be together?
