A lingering, drunken knock echoed the mansion. "It's 2 am, who is up this late?" Walking down the stairs to the door, another creeping knock echoes, this time alarming Sorin. He opens the door slowly. "It can only be one of two. . . wait, why are you here?" Suri sways to recline on the door. Her mouth opened but no words came out. Finally, some do.
The only detectable words she said were ". . . didn't know where else to go. . ." Sorin scrambles to catch Suri before she collapses on the floor.
