As I leave, the cold British wind greets me. I zip up my sweater, and start walking home. Thanks to my parents, I don't have a car. "You're too irresponsible for a car, Courtney. You can always save up for one once you leave this house," my father had scoffed when I asked him. I walk at a fast pace, hoping to avoid any random strangers lurking in the dark streets. I'm looking around to see if I'm still being followed, but I can't see anyone, so with my heart in my throat I run around the corner and sit down there. This will be my home for the night, I think and lay like a ball on the ground and hopes that he won't come after me... again. This story is about eighteen year old Caroline Jones, who at the presence spends her life on the street, hiding from her ex-boyfriend. Life looks dark for Caroline and she begins to lose the grip and is on the verge on giving up, when she one day meet a person that is nice to her for a change. He is kind and wants to help her, but does she dare trust him to help her, or will she not accept the help because she is too afraid? Will she finally have a chance to a good life again, kind of like the one she once had. Or is it too late? Follow her through, despair, loneliness, faith, friendship and love.

Harry Potter grew up with a negligent and borderline abusive adoptive family. He suffered a horrible life for a 9 year old and just wanted out. His life changed the day that his neighbour's daughter walked out screaming at someone. She ran off the porch and towards the direction of the playground. Harry for some unknown reason felt compelled to follow, and that changed the course of his life. ------------------------------ This story is going to mostly follow the books of Harry Potter, just having some major and minor changes in characters and plot because I write how I wanna. I don't think I'm going to have any ships except the ones mentioned in the tags, like Wolfstar, but there are a lot of platonic relationships that could be seen as romantic. But unless specifically stated everyone is just really good friends. All characters look the same as they do in the movies, except if stated otherwise, like Harry being Indian. Tags may be updated and if I think anything needs warning I'll put it in the notes before the chapter. I would like to dedicate the original story to its creator: Daniel Radcliffe. (J.K whoever doesn't deserve to exist.)
