I originally wrote this as a sequel to "Strive". It's probably best read in the sense of talking to yourself and being talk to by another voice in your mind or someone else. Basically, it's about something that happened, maybe you screwed up, that caused you to lose your best friend. You want so desperately to gain back that friendship you once had.
