Monsters are hiding from the humans because they have to learn to coexist with them. Humans don't know of their existence, only in fairytales or stories for little children to behave. Coexistence with monsters and humans is something to look for. But it will take years, even decades for it to happen.
Two boys will learn to coexist with them before monsters learn to do so. They will go through much, being the only humans in Yokai Academy, and will also learn that not all is what it seems.
