Daughter In Crime

The further I descended into the basement the louder the screaming got. The person sounded almost in pain as they howled away, making it hard to tell who it was.

Once I reached the basement floor the screaming halted and silence took it's place. Light shown brightly through the bottom of the door across the room seeming almost inhabitable if it weren't for the shadows that passed swiftly under it.

I took a couple of steps towards the door before it burst open. A short blonde girl, about sixteen, tripped out of the room and stumbled a couple of times as she attempted to dress her nude body. She passed by without even so much as giving me a second glance before speeding up the stairs, my eyes traveling after her in disapproval. I shook my head and looked back to the room.

There stood nineteen years and six feet of my eternal hatred. I shook my head in annoyance at the boy who leaned against the door frame, redoing his pants wiht one hand and running the other through his thick mess of brunette hair.

"Welcome back, Mob Princess," he smirked and winked.

"Get a shirt on and get your ass upstairs," I glowered at him. "Just about everyone is here and waiting on you, as usual."

"Just as it should be," he stated and pushed me with his shoulder as he passed as well as reaching his hand out to caress the side of my body. I shivered at the contact and followed after him.

"Blaggard," I hissed following behind him and grabbing a spare shirt from the top of the dryer next to the stairs, which I threw over his head as we assended the stairs together.
