Esmeralda Armani a 17 year old who is daughter of Emiliano Armani and Alma Armani. She was born in Italy and lived there until the age of 5. Since then she has been moving countries until they moved to New York. She has a younger sister named Rubi who is just 12 and she defends her from their fathers insults and hits. She's strong, brave, sarcastic, independent, puts the whole world before her, never gives up even when her body is screaming at her to stop. She's a broken girl but keeps on gluing herself up and pretending like everything is okay.

Aden St.Clair is 18 years old and is driven by two things hatred and anger. He's the son of Charles St. Clair and Laura St. Clair. He is the definition of the bad guy, he's a charmer, honest, loyal, rude. He has his walls built up but behind them he can be really sweet, he has a powerful hatred for his father and guilt eats him up every time he looks at his brother. His hatred and anger sometimes get the best of him. That's until he meets Esmeralda who at first he thought was a spoiled brat like the rest of the girls from school but he soon found her secret.
