Jade Spade is a girl living in Brooklyn, New York. Her day turns upside down one summer night when being chased by someone with absurd things to say, making Jade believe they are dangerous. Because of this, Jade finds a magic diary in a dark alley that belongs to a mage named Vexilla...

With a strong curiosity about magic and mysteries, Jade starts to feel pulled in by the magic, but will magic feel the same way about Jade?
