Charlotte Hampstead, a Baron's daughter, has absolutely no luck: especially in the husband hunting department. She can't play the harp, can't dance and certainly can't sing. Her only saving grace is the positively enormous dowry, but she refuses to marry any old fortune hunter whilst she's half in love with her childhood friend.

Tommy Greene, Earl of Essex, is in a little bit of a pickle. He inherited a title, and all the debts with it. He's been in London for five whole years, but not one of the skittish schoolroom chits can he see as wife, and he needs an heiress desperately.

Unless- there's been rumours of a priceless Shakespeare manuscript and the Essex family hidden around the Essex Estate: if he can find it, well there'd be more than enough money to pay off his Father's gambling debts and live in comfort. It's just the matter of finding it, and he not falling in love with his friend's little sister whilst doing so.

**From the Column of Lady BINIridgerton** It appears that the Season has taken an unexpected turn, my dear readers, for after the grand marriage of the Duke, Mikhael Lim, to the ever-so-timid yet elegant Aiah Arceta, we now find ourselves amidst rumors that will surely shake the ton. The Duke and Duchess have settled into their domestic bliss, welcoming a handsome son into their world-he is but three months of age, and yet the Lims remain under the keen eyes of society. But, as with everything else, life must carry on, and I must direct your attention to people who have remained in the background for far too long. First there's *Cole Lim*, the Duke's gruff and stoic brother who despises anything loud or colorful. However, speculations circulate that his annoyance with the vibrant *Maloi Ricalde* is merely a disguise for something deeper. Could it be that underneath that frown there is affection? How beautifully ironic. Then there's *Gian Lim*, the silent and disinterested sibling who is as mysterious as he is nice. Rumor has it that the bashful Gian has long nursed a secret admiration for the Duchess's cousin, *Sheena Catacutan*. But will this shy man ever gather the confidence to express his emotions? Lastly, we come to *JR Lim*, the most jovial and exuberant of the Lim brothers. It seems that no one can escape his playful teasing, especially *Stacey Sevilleja*, the feisty cousin of the Duchess who is as obsessed with the color pink as she is with ribbons and lace. But dear readers, could there be more to his teasing than meets the eye? Perhaps JR's jests hide something much more tender. Oh, the scandals, the romance, the intrigue! The Season is ripe with possibilities. Keep your eyes sharp, for I, *Lady BINIridgerton*, shall reveal all the latest gossip.

He'll find her a better bridegroom and then let her go. If only he could. ...but eventually, even the best kept secrets come out... Lady Georgianna is done hiding. The Reluctant Bridegroom Chapters 1-3 by ArabellaSheraton1
1 part Complete
The handsome Earl of Wenham has no intention of marrying any time soon in the near future. At thirty, as one of London's leading Corinthians, he sees no need to interrupt his enjoyable life, filled with the kind of sporting and gambling activities a man of his position enjoys. A wife, he feels, would hamper him. His sister Almeria, some fifteen years his senior, feels duty bound to point out to Hugo that he owes it to the title and the estates to marry and produce an heir. Failure to do so means the entire lot devolves upon his second cousin, the Honourable Felix Barstowe. She also reminds him that their father had promised an old friend, Lord Lavenham, that his son should marry Lord Lavenham's daughter, Miranda. Time has passed, and the young lady in question is now twenty two. Out of respect for his father's dying promise (which he had never taken seriously), the earl tells his sister he will pay the Lavenhams a visit, but he makes no undertaking to fulfil their father's wish. After all, he reasons, the young lady might well be a complete frump, given that at twenty two she is still unattached. Expecting nothing but a boring few days fulfilling his duty, the earl sets off the Lavenham House. He is stranded by snow a few miles away from his destination and takes refuge in a local inn. He meets up with a heavily veiled, mysterious young woman, who, by her confidences to him, he realises is the elusive Miranda. To his shocking surprise, the feisty Miranda declares she has never heard of the Earl of Wenham's glorious reputation and will not have anything to do with someone whom she declares, "is possibly so fat and gouty, that he needs to have a wife found for him." In fact, she would rather run away with a childhood friend than have anything to do with the "ridiculous" Earl of Wenham.
