Being tested and placed into certain courses determined by how one scores on an important exam, somehow little Amelia made it into the school of Protectors. People who pass and excel in these courses go on to become police, warriors, and champions for thier community.
Problem is, Amelia never meant to get into Protection. This clumsy, quiet girl just wanted to become an educator, help the next generation decide what they inspired to become. And help them achieve the knowledge necessary to pass the exam and join that school.
She never meant to become a protector.
And she never meant to be test higher then anyone before on inherit instincts.
