"Send me." My words silenced the raging room. I stepped forwards with more confidence than I felt, tucking my arms into the draping sleeves of my Jedi robes. "Send me on my first mission. I'm ready. I know there is trouble on Utapau: a dispute between two of the main houses. It's far enough away that," I paused, consciously steadying my voice, "that I won't see Michael again. Just please, please don't expel him from the Jedi Order. It's his life, and I know how much he loves it."

When Mikayla Endzela has to choose between her love for Michael Carlisle and his position in the Jedi Order, she offers to be sent away from the Temple to ... lessen the attachment. But she has no idea what is in store for her. Wars, battles, betrayals, and an emotional rollercoaster lie just around the corner. Can she stay true to her beliefs? Will her love for Michael get in the way of her future? Can there be a happy ending for her?
