Being gay in 1986 was already hard enough for Eddie and having a crush on the straightest person he knew wasn't making it any easier. Okay scratch that, the straightest person he had the honor of calling his friend. Wait, could he even call Steve his friend? I mean yeah they were in some fucked up version of Hawkins fighting for each other's life's. But we're they friends?
"Hey Steve," Eddie paused biting his lip "Are we friends?" he asked nervously.
(This story begins on the walk on the walk to Nancy's house in the Up-side down.)

When Will tells him he's the heart in reference to El, he thinks he might've been wrong. 5. Will accidentally starts flirting with Mike because he likes seeing him blush. Will doesn't fully realize the implications of that. 6. When Mike is confronted with the fact that Will hasn't had his first kiss he stupidly steps up to offer it to him. 7. Will tends to zone out around Mike, especially when it comes to the topic of dating. He realizes he missed an important discussion about that a little too late. 8. Byler celebrating 4 Christmases from the years of 1984 to 1987, starting as friends and growing into something more. 9. When Mike finds out Lucas is bisexual it helps him gain courage in coming out to him and telling Lucas about his feelings for Will. Lucas decides to help Mike get them together.

"Hey Henders-" Steve lost all track of thought in a matter of seconds, his breath was stuck in his throat along with any words he could've possibly thought might help in the situation. Y/N opens his eyes slowly, clearly annoyed at his brother. He sits up in his bed and rubs his eyes and looks at Steve with tired, irritated eyes. "No, Y/N you are going to school today. No more skipping." Steve says and walks out of his room. "I'll wait for you outside in the car." This is a Eddie Munson X Y/N story that takes place during stranger things season 4 This story has violence, sexuality and strong language, do not read if you are uncomfortable by these things. I know that Stranger things takes place during the 80s and that it wasn't very LGBTQ+ friendly during that time and that being trans wasn't as easy as it is today (as a trans man myself I am well aware that it still isn't easy at all but compared to the 80s it is easier) so I am sorry if it isn't super realistic, but the story is stranger things based either way so it cant really be realistic anyway.
