Steve Harrington is the perfect example of popular gone poor. The King of Hawkins High, officially a social outcast within his so-called kingdom.
Steve never had issues expressing his own emotions and desires, but after the "mysterious fire" at Hawkins only mall, Steve's gone silent aside from when he's with his two best friends, a 14 year old boy, and an overly anxious lesbian.
Through Steve's impatience and struggles to make it through his final year of high school, someone finally attempts to crack open his shell.

But as the situation unfolds, Eddie and Steve find themselves growing closer and closer together with each passing moment of their adventure to save Hawkins, and something more than a friendship blooms before them. Steve(21) Hasn't had a chance to leave this awful place. He has stayed around for the kids, wanting nothing more to be there for each one's graduation. Confused. Lonely. Depression has really started to hit in the last couple of years after all of the tragic losses to the upsidedown. Nearly losing everything and everyone he's cared for and loved. Most everyone has gotten their chance to escape, Nancy and Jonathan moved to California after graduation. Robin's off at college. Until he realizes maybe he's not so alone here, sparking a true friendship with the most unlikely person, Eddie Munson. Eddie(22) hasn't been able to get out of this town either after swearing he would get the hell out of here many years ago. The kids are all graduating this year, which will most likely end up giving the two now men, no reason to stick around anymore. But what will happen to the two friends when Steve realizes the feelings he's thought for so long to just be a platonic friendship have always been a little more? I do not own rights to the ST characters or themes but I do own rights to my own storyline. I will be using pictures from artists that I find as the art for each chapter. It is 7 AM in the morning and Steve Harrington is currently shaking his younger brother Y/N awake. "come on Y/N wake up, you cant be late" Steve says while waking his brother. Y/N opens his eyes slowly, clearly annoyed at his brother. He sits up in his bed and rubs his eyes and looks at Steve with tired, irritated eyes. "No, Y/N you are going to school today. No more skipping." Steve says and walks out of his room. "I'll wait for you outside in the car." This is a Eddie Munson X Y/N story that takes place during stranger things season 4 This story has violence, sexuality and strong language, do not read if you are uncomfortable by these things. I know that Stranger things takes place during the 80s and that it wasn't very LGBTQ+ friendly during that time and that being trans wasn't as easy as it is today (as a trans man myself I am well aware that it still isn't easy at all but compared to the 80s it is easier) so I am sorry if it isn't super realistic, but the story is stranger things based either way so it cant really be realistic anyway.Complete

Steve's always been the jealous one according to the group, according to literally everyone. Even the kid who supposedly praises him. Everyone tells him that he's jealous of Dustin finding another older friend to have by his side. But no one knows why and that it's not all jealousy. He dropped what he was doing and turned around making cold eye contact with her. "Robin. I'm being serious. Drop it." The girl tensed up and worry gathered on her face for a short second. "Okay, okay. If it's that bad then I won't bother you about it again. I'm sorry okay?" She raised her hands up in a surrender and went back to the vhs's on the counter next to her. Steve took a long breath and rubbed his hands over his face. The bell on the door rand, but Steve ignored it. He was already stressed out enough as it was. "Steve!" He could hear two pairs of footsteps walking up the counter, one being the short curly haired boy he'd taken on as one of his best friends years ago. "Hey Henders-" Steve lost all track of thought in a matter of seconds, his breath was stuck in his throat along with any words he could've possibly thought might help in the situation. His face burned red and his hands started to shake. There was a familiar , now taller, curly haired boy standing behind Dustin. A way to familiar, curly haired boy.
