Sonic wakes to find himself no longer in his bed or his home, but on a primitive beach on an island he later found to be called the ARK. He woke alone with nothing but his trusty red running shoes, and a sense of survival. On his own, he establishes a base, a temporary home for himself.

A strange mishap leads him to two other Survivors, all working towards the same goal; escaping the ARK. Together, with the help of each other and notes left by a past Survivor, they brave new heights and dangerous depths in their quest for freedom.

This ARK, one of many, is just the beginning of their desperate fight for freedom as they race and battle many dangerous, prehistoric, and supposedly mythic and fictional creatures to escape home. Will they succeed, or will they become part of the land as many, many others did before them?
