Noelle has only ever known one life. The life she has lived in an R.V in the middle of the Sahara desert with Dean for the last year. Before that she cannot remember. Dean leaves every morning at sunrise and comes back every evening before nightfall. She has never asked where he goes or what he does, so long as he comes home every day. But Noelle's simple way of life is disrupted by utter anarchy when she learns that Dean is part of a human rebel group that is stockpiling weapons for the war against a different species. Chaos breaks out when the group is bombed and Noelle is separated from Dean.
Noelle is not human, though. She looks human with her fair complexion, but is the same species as the enemy. But in order to find her beloved Dean, she must find the people who have taken him.
In a world on the brink of disaster, Noelle is forced to face both reality as well as the part she has played in the harming of her loved one.

She's also really rich too and lives in a mansion with her mother and sister. One day, Heather had fallen asleep in class because of a party she attended the day before, and had a dream about waking up in, what seemed to be, a fantasyland. She became determined to find out what the dream meant, and then she met someone who was having the same dream as her, and so the both of them made it their mission to find out why they're having these reoccurring dreams...oh yeah I forgot to mention, she's not very fond of Jenna, since they didn't really have a good start. (Edit: She speaks English throughout most of the story. But, spoiler alert, she speaks Spanish in the final chapter and in one of the bonus chapters.)
