Cursed as a child and forced to leave home with her younger brother, Merlin, Melda finds herself in a kingdom that outlaws magic. Hiding and keeping a low profile would be the best survival strategy. Instead, the siblings get tangled up in a web of deception and destiny.

It's hard enough hiding her family's magic, but Melda now has to contend with an ancient prophecy, and the prince that it speaks of.
