Cursed as a child and forced to leave home with her younger brother, Merlin, Melda finds herself in a kingdom that outlaws magic. Hiding and keeping a low profile would be the best survival strategy. Instead, the siblings get tangled up in a web of deception and destiny.

It's hard enough hiding her family's magic, but Melda now has to contend with an ancient prophecy, and the prince that it speaks of.

Set in Season 1, sometime before The Beginning of the End, so he doesn't know he is Emrys yet, but Merlin has been Arthur's manservant for a while. (I don't own Merlin or the characters, just loved the show)

Dark hair, wild like a bloodthirsty animal, contrasted sharply against her pale, creamy skin. A dangerous smile lingered on her lips, watery green eyes gleaming with malice as she tilted her head to survey her prisoner with mock sympathy. ~ Heads up, this fic is as straight as a ruler, so don't be expecting gay smut. I warned you!
