After Eddie died in Dustin's arms, his body was left in the Upside Down. Nearly a year after the incident Hawkins is slowly repairing itself from the quakes despite the sky being filled with ominous clouds. Towns people start reporting sightings of a terrifying winged creature that's been attacking people. Eleven and her friends are drawn back to fighting for their town once again and an old flame of Eddie Munson's steps forward to help out.
