lydia took her parents splitting as a fresh start. she made new friends and even found a boyfriend that cherished her while she was away. she'd never been happier. until her mother fell ill and she had to move back to indiana and live with her father and sister once again. she had also never expected steve to be such an asshole towards her upon her return. he wasn't worth any of her feelings again anyways.

Depression has really started to hit in the last couple of years after all of the tragic losses to the upsidedown. Nearly losing everything and everyone he's cared for and loved. Most everyone has gotten their chance to escape, Nancy and Jonathan moved to California after graduation. Robin's off at college. Until he realizes maybe he's not so alone here, sparking a true friendship with the most unlikely person, Eddie Munson. Eddie(22) hasn't been able to get out of this town either after swearing he would get the hell out of here many years ago. The kids are all graduating this year, which will most likely end up giving the two now men, no reason to stick around anymore. But what will happen to the two friends when Steve realizes the feelings he's thought for so long to just be a platonic friendship have always been a little more?
