You are Dawn Warner. Best friend to Hiro Hamada since 1st grade when a bully wouldn't leave you alone. How did Hiro handle it, you ask? by beating the kid up with a homemade robot, of course.
With no mother due to her passing, after she had you, and your father killed in a car accident just recently, it was up to your older sister to take care of you.
Thankfully Aunt Cass is always there to lend a hand (and treats), along with your older brother figure Tadashi, who always helped you out when Hiro wasn't. Hiro was advancing in school, you were only a year behind him (senior) from the two of you studying together and improving greatly. You were accepted into Tadashi's school months before, and Hiro decided he wanted to go to be with you and for the advanced learning but after Hiro gets accepted into Tadashi's nerd school'', tragedy strikes and Tadashi dies in an accidental fire-tying to save Professor Callaghan  Or was it?After something triggers Hiro's invention he used it in the showcase, the two of you investigate and discover someone had used the fire as a ploy to steal it And now, you both want justice for Tadashi.

To soon go into action after discovering a gang fight was about to go down, where innocents could get hurt. But little to your knowledge, there was already a hero group in the city.
